Moikrug is wildly popular in Russia! Although it is kinda broader than Linkedin. I would say it is similar to the early days Friendster, but people use their real names to find classmates and colleagues.
The use of Web 2.0 technologies (AJAX, etc.) is much more advanced than that of Digg and other U.S. based sites.
